Research and Development Cell

At Lady Doak College, we believe that a vibrant academic environment is built on the pillars of teaching, research, and community engagement. Recognising the importance of research in enriching the teaching-learning process, the college established the Research and Development (R&D) Cell in 2006. This cell acts as a facilitative and supportive platform, enabling faculty members to actively engage in research alongside their teaching responsibilities. The R&D Cell is overseen by a dedicated committee comprising faculty from both the sciences and humanities, who work collaboratively to drive its initiatives in a comprehensive and effective manner.

Functions

• Organising capacity-building workshops and training programmes
• Disseminating information on research opportunities
• Strengthening connections with alumnae engaged in research
• Assisting in securing external funding for research
• Offering financial assistance for research activities, publications, workshops, and conferences
• Providing guidance for achieving Lifetime Achievement, Early Career, and Annual Research Awards
• Facilitating the formulation of MoUs to promote ethical and collaborative research
• Supporting research guides and scholars throughout their research journey
