The DST-CURIE (Consolidation of University Research for Innovation and Excellence in Women Universities) programme, supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, is designed to strengthen the research ecosystem in women's higher educational institutions. This programme aims to promote high-quality research, foster innovation, and encourage greater participation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through financial assistance, advanced scientific equipment, and modern laboratory infrastructure.
Lady Doak College has been awarded the DST CURIE grant to enhance its research capabilities and create an environment that supports cutting-edge scientific investigation. With this support, the College has planned to well-equip its Instrumentation Centre featuring analytical instruments, reliable computing resources, and internet-enabled research facilities. The Centre serves as a valuable platform for interdisciplinary research, practical training, workshops, seminars, and skill development programmes, enabling students, scholars, and faculty members to undertake advanced research and contribute meaningfully to scientific and technological progress.
