Modular Research lab and UG and PG Laboratory
The Department of Biotechnology has a modular research lab which comprises many sophisticated equipment such as AKTA prime plus for protein purification, sonicator, 2D- gel electrophoresis, Gel documentation system, Lypophilizer, etc. This lab provided facilities for most of the research scholars during their tenure. Most of the instruments were procured from the project funds sanctioned by the Department of Science and Technology and Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The Department of Biotechnology has exclusive UG and PG Laboratory for the undergraduate and postgraduate students for their lab courses. It is housed with basic and advanced equipment such as laminar air flow, refrigerated centrifuge, spectrofluorometer, digital autoclave, ELISA plate reader, binocular and trinocular microscopes, biophotometer, deep freezers (-20°C and -80°C) for storage of samples. And an exclusive chemical store for preparation of chemicals.
