UG CLUB

WEBS (Women Evolving Biological Sciences)      

Fire your knowledge with spirit and enthusiasm to make a hybrid world

The Department of Biotechnology, with a deep sense of appreciating the co-curricular activities has provided a platform for students to stage their talents and hidden potentials through “WEBS club”.  An hour in a week is dedicated to the club activities of the department.  It promulgates comprehensive and harmonious development of the personality of students so that they can provide effective leadership in all walks of life.  The students of the club has been divided into four houses with names of great women biologists namely,

  • Rosalind Franklin
  • Margaret Day Hoff
  • Barbara McClintock
  • Rosalyn Yalow

The club enlists various activities like talent shows; inter class competitions, video shows on environmental issues and motivational talks by inspiring personalities.  Talented faculty members supervise the activities.

PG CLUB

SIBS   (Scholars Invoking Biological Sciences)

The Department of biotechnology has provided an enigmatic duo for encouraging the co-curricular activities of the students.  The “SIBS” club, an hour in a week, brought out the hidden talents by removing the veils of inequality and by creating an impression and passion among the students, making them prove that everyone is capable of achieving. The students of the club were divided into 4 houses with the names of eminent biologists namely
